Jed Munden is the founder and lead inspector of Certified Home Inspection Professionals (CHIP). Raised on the North Shore of Oahu Jed graduated from Kahuku High. He then went on to earn a Business Administration degree form Pacific University. Jed spent his summer months in high school and college, working for the family business Munden Design and Build. Upon graduating college Jed moved to Las Vegas where he framed new homes while his wife finished college at UNLV.
After the completion of college they move back to Hawaii to raise their family and continue the family business of remodeling and building custom homes from the ground up. In working as a roofer, skilled labor in framing, carpentry, painting, tile, plumbing, electrical his curiosity to expand his knowledge of buildings and systems has never found an end. This curiosity led him to home inspecting as he saw an avenue to share his comprehensive building knowledge with home buyers.
With an extensive understanding of how homes are built, coupled with a working knowledge of different intersecting components, Jed uses his experience to give his clients a unique perspective and understanding of the home. A core strength of chip inspections is problem analysis associated with new or existing home structures. As a result of being in and around building projects in every phase for over 25 years Jed is very comfortable with every aspect of your home inspection. His close attention to detail can be noted in professional reports and his clients benefit from his vast knowledge of the industry. Mr. Munden is also a member of InterNACHI.
Jed truly enjoys building, remodeling, rehabbing and inspecting properties. He comes at the job with a non-alarming tone and ensures customers understand the report and what they are buying or selling. He enjoys educating his clients about the home they are buying. The home buying process is very exciting; Jed understands the importance of providing his clients the information they need to make an informed decision during the buying process.
